Our clients say the nicest things.

We are privileged to serve the boat repair and restoration needs of the rowing community of upstate New York.

We at Saratoga Rowing consider ourselves beyond lucky to have Saratoga Small Craft just minutes down the road.  Our fleet has never looked better.  They are always willing to fix the shell to the level of perfection that we desire. On some shells we ask for perfection – and they nail it. On other (novice) shells, we ask that the shell be brought back to life as quickly and/or inexpensively as possible.  It is so nice to be able to work within our budget and yet know that the job is always done professionally.  The other amazing thing we have taken advantage of is the restoration of used shells.  By purchasing a used shell and sending it over to the Bob and Pete, it comes back looking like we just purchased new.

My 1995 Hudson 1x was rehabbed by Saratoga Small Craft two years ago.  The decision I had was between buying a new Hudson or getting mine refurbished. Fortunately, I chose the latter, and the results have been outstanding. It looks and rows like a brand new boat at a cost that was substantially less than the price of a late model used Hudson, much less a new one.  I can unequivocally endorse their work.

I visited Saratoga Small Craft to view a Hudson single that Bob and Peter were offering for sale. I had seen the pictures they presented online and admired its new vibrant colors of orange and blue. After coming to their shop to inspect the hull, I was completely in awe of the finish, the detail and mostly, the craftsmanship of its application. Their skills should be considered artwork. Running hands lightly over the finish meets almost no drag from its smoothly buffed surface.  Needless to say, I bought and have enjoyed rowing my “new” 1997 Hudson, accepting the frequent praise on behalf of Saratoga Small Craft, always complimenting their amazing work and customer service.  I enjoy being not only a client of Peter and Bob, but also of becoming friends with two very fine people
